Arthur's Cabin
A Fabulous Lakeside Log Cabin in the Heart of Northumberland
We are delighted to welcome this gorgeous, cosy log cabin to our collection!
Situated in beautiful Felmoor Park, which is 8 miles north of Morpeth and 7 miles south of Alnwick and just off the A1 trunk road, this luxury log cabin has a wonderful ambience and is just as suited to a family as it is to a couple looking for a romantic retreat. From Easter 2012 it also will have a fabulous Siberian Larch Hot Tub for our guests private use!
Arthur's Cabin is situated in a quiet corner of Felmoor Park, overlooking the beautiful lake, with its abundance of wildlife, including swans and geese. All the attractions of Northumberland - from the beautiful Heritage coastline across to the wild and picturesque National Park - are within very easy reach, so you'll be spoilt for choice for days out!
Lounge
The lounge is cosy and comfortable and is open plan to the dining room and luxury kitchen. Windows on two elevations overlook the beautiful lakeside with its resident swans. There is a flatscreen TV with Freeview.
Kitchen
The kitchen is bright and spacious with oak cabinets and a granite worksurface. It's well equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. Perfect for everything from a light breakfast to a dinner party for six.
Dining Area
The spacious dining area is conveniently situated between the kitchen and the lounge and has a large oak table seating up to 6 people. Hi-fi.
Bedroom 1
With a fabulous solid wood double bed, luxury mattress and bedlinen. Towels provided.
Bedroom 2
Twin single beds in a chunky, solid wood homestyle. Luxury mattresses and top quality bedlinen and towels. Please note the beds are currently the narrower style and are each 2' 6" wide, however from Easter 2012 they will be full size 3' wide single beds.
Bedroom 3

Shower Room
The large shower room has a WC, WHB and a luxury shower with controllable multiple massage jets.
Outside
The cabin overlooks a beautiful lake, complete with swans and the occasional elusive heron. The area surrounding the cabin is lawned and spacious. There is outside seating for 6 and from Easter 2012 there will be a fabulous Siberian Larch hot tub for our guests exclusive use.

Arthur's Cabin is awaiting assessment by VisitEngland, but is already furnished and equipped to 5 Star standard.

Please note however, that this Google image was taken prior to the lodge actually being built, as it was only completed in late 2011, but this link it provided to show you the location within Northumberland and its proximity to the major road network and the coast and countryside of Northumberland.
Important Notes:
1. Between January 6th and April 5th 2012 a couple of log cabins will be added in an area behind Arthur's Cabin. You will drive past this area to reach Arthur's Cabin. Once at the Cabin, the works will be barely noticable, as the main outlook is towards the opposite side, which is the lakeside. The cabins are built with minimal disruption, so whilst we don't expect this work to severely impact on a holiday spent at Arthur's Cabin, we have reduced the rates considerably during this time to reflect any disturbance that may be experienced. Please click here to check when this cottage is available and for specific rates for these dates.
2. There is no washing machine in Arthur's Cabin. An on-site laundry is planned for 2012, please check with us to check it will be available for your stay if it's essential. The owners also run a 5 Star guest house locally and can offer a laundry service, by prior arrangement, on a 24hr turnaround as an alternative.
