Holiday Cancellation Insurance

When you book your holiday, you are entering into a legally binding contract with the owner of the holiday property. If you fell ill, had an accident of were otherwise prevented from taking your holiday, you could be faced with a large bill, as you are legally obliged to pay your holiday cost in full once the reservation has been accepted, even if you can't subsequently take the holiday.

If you need to cancel, you should inform us in writing as soon as you possibly can, in order that we can remove the reservation from our diary and allow the holiday dates to be re-booked. If your holiday dates do re-book, then we can offer a refund equal to the rent received for the new booking (which at our discretion and depending upon the lead time, may be less if we need to discount or accept a booking for a shorter period), less £25 to cover our administration costs.

There cannot, of course, be any guarantee that your holiday dates will re-book - especially at short notice, however if you take out Holiday Cancellation Insurance, this will give you complete peace of mind and, as it costs from just £8.50 per holiday, is a very small price to pay in comparison to your holiday cost.

As an example of such insurance, see www.cancellationplan.com or telephone 0845 218 7161. If you book a policy, you will need to inform them that your holiday is booked with Coquet Cottages.
