Peace and tranquility in The Cheviots
Sorry, this property is no longer available to let
Canno Mill is a wonderful old converted flour mill located in a beautiful and tranquil area on the northern edge of the Northumberland National Park - perfect for larger families.

Nestled in a stunningly picturesque valley, Canno Mill was recently converted - along with 4 other neighbouring cottages - into a distinctive 3 storey holiday retreat. Reached only by a no-through road and surrounded by picturesque countryside and with views of the River Bowmont, the setting is very peaceful.
Perfect for cyclists and walkers.
Situated in one of the most charming and diverse valleys in the Cheviot Hills; it provides access to the beautiful banks of the Bowmont River, walks in the hills and nearby is the College Valley, renowned for its scenery, history and wildlife. Within easy driving distance, just over the Scottish border, is Kelso, arguably the prettiest of the border towns with its Flemish Square and setting by the famous River Tweed. Kelso offers a wide range of shops, pubs and eating places. The nearby market town of Wooler is just 6 miles away. There are popular golf courses at nearby Wooler, Coldstream, Berwick and Bamburgh, along with Championship Courses (Roxburghe and Muirfield) within easy reach. There are trout and grayling fishing rights along the River Bowmont at Canno Mill.
In an easterly direction, the magnificent Heritage coastline of Northumberland is unmissable, with glorious sandy beaches and sights such as the world class bird sanctuaries of Budle Bay and the Farne Islands; Holy Island, Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh Castles; pretty villages such as Warkworth and Alnmouth and major world-class attractions such as Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden.
Canno Mill is spacious and provides versatile accommodation. Comfortably furnished with many original features, it's perfect for a large family, two families or couples holidaying together. Sleeps up to 6 adults and 4 children. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs welcome, but they must be kept on a lead in the vicinity of the Mill due to sheep grazing openly on the surrounding countryside.
