A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Village

Situated in a very private location, behind the main street in Warkworth, this attractive stone-built cottage can only be accessed via a path leading around 150 yards from the nearest road, (where there is free car parking). It has been beautifully renovated, furnished and equipped to 4 Star standard and has attained a coveted VisitBritain Gold Award.

Large living room with inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove (see image above). 3 seater sofa and 2 armchairs. TV with digital channels (including radio channels). Free Wi-Fi broadband internet access throughout the cottage.

Well equipped kitchen with table and 6 chairs and all the usual appliances including dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine.

Useful and spacious room off from the kitchen and lounge and accessible directly from the front door and hallway, with washer/dryer and sink. There is a very small, enclosed rear yard which is not used.

Small library/TV area on the landing with a sofa, flat screen TV with PlayStation 2 games console and a variety of games, books and music. Please note that this TV is provided purely for use with the games console and does not accept a TV signals to transmit TV channels.

  1. This cottage is situated behind the main street, in a very private and secluded spot. The only access to it is via a path running around 150yds from the nearest road, where cars can be parked. This pathway is unlit at night, so a torch will be needed for access during darkness. There is a hand-truck provided to aid in transporting heavy luggage and groceries to and from the car. In extreme wet weather, the path can flood but there is an easy alternative route. Please take this into account when considering if this cottage will be suitable for your needs.
  2. This cottage can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults and 2 children. The second bedroom has 2 bunk beds and is only suitable for children of a maximum age of 12 yrs.
  3. A maximum of 2 medium sized dogs or 1 large dog permitted under our strict house rules for dogs. See our booking conditions for more information.
  4. An initial supply of logs is provided for the wood burning stove during the months of October through to April. If more are required, they can be purchased locally. Contact us if you would like a supply delivering to the cottage.
