“Lovely cottage, all you need when you go away to self-cater (and more). The Country Barn Farm & Coffee Shop at Widdrington is very good & reasonable prices. Lots of beach walking – Alnmouth, Warkworth and Druridge Bay with the ‘boys’. No time to use the Kota, but it looks very inviting – maybe next time. “We really enjoyed our visits to Warkworth Castle, Alnmouth beach (especially Dandelions café – great ice cream!) Alnwick Gardens, Barter Books and Cragside. Particular highlights were sailing around the Farne Islands and our evening in the Kota – a totally unique experience! We bought all our food for the BBQ from Sunnyhills Farm Shop in Belford and it was excellent quality. “Have had a lovely week. Really good weather – didn’t need the waterproofs and thermals! Very well appointed cottage, everything we needed. We spent most of our time walking along the beaches with our dog. Warkworth beach, Alnmouth, Bamburgh and Druridge Bay all have fantastic walks.
