Our visitors' books are great to read through over a cup of coffee or glass of wine whilst settling into your cottage and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as our fabulous Northumbrian beaches, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, for example, but for the sake of avoiding repetition on this page, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors' book in Nursery Cottage when you stay.

We've really enjoyed our weekend break in Northumberland - from Saturday early morning walk in Alnwick Gardens and taking in the scenery on Alnmouth beach to a trip to Bamburgh Castle and Berwick on Tweed on Sunday. It was a pleasure to return to the cottage at the end of each day and our batteries have been re-charged - we don't want to leave but I'm sure we'll return to this lovely place soon!"
“Your cottages are amazing. We feel it's very hard to trust self-catering websites that they can provide what is suggested or appears from the photos and description. Holidays are far too rare and you need to be sure and confident that the cottage you are renting is as good as or better than your own home. With Coquet Cottages that is guaranteed.”
