Waterside Cottage - Comments from our Visitors' Books

Our visitors' books are great to read through over a cup of coffee or glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, for example, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted some of these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors' book at Waterside.

Here are some of the comments left in the visitors' book at Waterside recently, kindly provided by the owners:

"I must say to you and Jill what a wonderful holiday we had, the cottage was superb and we could not find fault, even if we tried. Everything was there you could think of and whilst we did not need it the 'In case you forgot' box was just that little touch to show you care. I would recommend Waterside to anybody and as for Northumberland - what a beautiful county and friendly people everywhere we went! The sunshine helps but even in bad weather you would be very cosy and still find plenty to do and see. Thanks to you both." Alan and Karen Taylor, Somerset.

"We have had a fab holiday, the house is so great! It's a really nice place for families and it's fab being beside the river and being so close to the beach. Thank you." Louise, Bill, Ellen (12), Kate (9) and Jack (9) Sterling.  Dunblane

"We have had a wonderful time. The cottage has been a great base where we have been able to relax. The area is amazing and we have visited castles, pubs, beaches and towns interspersed with beautiful countryside. We would recommend Zecca in Amble for a special meal but we have also eaten at the Jackdaw and the pubs in the village. Thank you!!" Jan and Chris. Sutton Coldfield.
