Local Events in the Area During 2008

There are a wealth of events scheduled for all areas of Northumberland in 2008 - there's something for everyone.   This page will be updated as information is made available.

We provide a copy of our local weekly newspaper The Northumberland Gazette in all of our properties.  As well as local news features and advertising for local places to dine, it lists many local events and activities happening over the course of the week the newspaper covers, which we may not have prior knowledge about.

Throughout the year, Alnwick Castle and Gardens has an extensive programme of events, with something to interest everyone - whatever your age or interests.  Click here for the full programme and more information.

The Sage, Gateshead is an amazing music venue, which is certainly worth a visit.   Whether your taste is in classical music, jazz, soul, country, folk, whatever, there's always something of interest going on there.  It's such an intimate venue with no roudy crowds, a lovely bar and restaurant and the sound quality is superb.  It's located on the quayside in Newcastle, alongside the Baltic Arts Centre, the Millenium Eye footbridge, the famous Tyne Bridge and everything else that this fantastic 'World Class' city has to offer.   Have a look on the Sage website at their programme of events and performances, as it is worth the drive down, which will take around 45 minutes.  Parking is easy in the Sage's own carpark.

Alnwick Playhouse hosts a myriad of performances for all ages and tastes and also screens current box office releases.  Tel. 01665 510735 for more information.

Apologies, but we are currently working on changing the layout of this page and adding a lot more events.  Please bookmark it and return soon.
