This boutique coastal cottage is located in the charming fishing village of Craster, placing families or groups of friends with the dogs in tow just 350 metres away from a chance to taste the world-famous Craster kippers. It sleeps up to six guests across three stylish bedrooms and boasts glorious sea views from almost every window. You’ll have a fabulous pub and restaurant just 350 metres away, where you can dine with sweeping ocean views, and the Northumberland Coastal Path runs only 150 metres from the door – excellent if you crave scenic walks. The harbour is an easy 500-metre stroll, with a locally renowned art gallery and a family-friendly play area a similar distance. For day trips, head to pretty Alnwick (7.5 miles), of Harry Potter fame, or the majestic village of Bamburgh (15.5 miles), known for its castle, sand dunes and pristine beach.
On arrival, step through the glazed front door into a welcoming entrance hallway, which leads to the sunroom, main hallway and beyond. The modern kitchen/diner is the heart of the home, with seating for six and a breakfast bar with two high stools. The adjoining kitchen has everything you need for cooking up feasts, plus French doors opening directly to the garden. The lounge is a relaxed coastal haven with a Smart TV, Netflix, DVD player and a corner sofa overlooking the garden – during the chillier months, you can spark up the wood burner to stay toasty. When your eyelids get heavy, retire upstairs to the sleeping quarters where you’ll find a spacious king-size bedroom with sea views and an en-suite shower room, another king-size room, and a pretty twin bedroom with side sea views. Completing the interior is a well-appointed family bathroom.
Outside, to the rear, is a landscaped garden with a furnished decked space perfect for al fresco meals, a children’s play area, and a summer house. Guests will also find a lawned garden to the front of the house, plus driveway parking for one car, and on-street parking subject to availability.
