Set in the walker’s paradise of Wooler, the house sits in a town brimming with antique shops and footpaths that lead straight into the Cheviot Hills. The town centre is less than 0.5 miles away, so you can leave the car behind and head out on foot. A short stroll brings you to Ad Gefrin (less than 0.5 miles), a much-loved local distillery complete with a museum, shop, restaurant, and guided tours with tasting sessions. Beyond town, hike through the Harthorpe Valley, Ingram Valley, and to Linhope Spout, or cycle out to Hepburn Wood (7 miles) on the Northumberland Moors. From Wooler Common (1.5 miles), step into the Northumberland National Park, or drive less than 20 miles to explore the dramatic scenery of the coast.

Every room in this remarkable home offers its own unique decor, unified by a sense of luxury and attention to detail. Enter through the front hall or via the utility room when returning with muddy boots and wet clothes. The utility space is well-equipped with laundry facilities and ample storage for outdoor gear. From here, move through to the kitchen, where a wall of patio doors floods the room with light. A central island provides extra prep and social space. Adjoining the kitchen, the dining room offers a spectacular setting for group meals, with its impressive dining table, beamed ceilings, and a wood burner set into an inglenook fireplace. After dinner, relax in one of two lounges: the first, with a wood burner, Smart TV, books, and games; the second, with ample seating, perfect for quiet conversation or simply escaping the evening’s film choice. Upstairs, six bedrooms are spread across the first and second floors, each styled with its own colour scheme and statement wallpaper. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, Smart TV, and en-suite bathroom. Two further king-size bedrooms also include Smart TVs, while a versatile super-king-size zip-and-link room offers additional flexibility along with a TV. The final two bedrooms, on the top floor, are both doubles with TVs. Every bedroom has an en-suite, five with showers and the master with a bath and shower for added indulgence.

Outside, the expansive lawned garden provides endless space for ball games and outdoor fun. A furnished patio invites you to fire up the charcoal BBQ for summer feasts, while the summerhouse offers additional seating and a sheltered spot to enjoy the views. This house really worked for three generations of our family- lots of space, lovely big kitchen and a nice extra to have all bedrooms en suite. The garden was beautifully kept and our kids enjoyed the games and sports equipment provided. Although close to the main road it felt secure and the ice cream shop right next door was a big hit!

A lovely house that met all our needs. Very comfortable with plenty of space for us all to spread out (7 adults & 4 children) as well as being well-equipped. The lovely garden was a bonus with plenty of space for the grandchildren to play safely. Honey Pot House is also in a great location, with many attractions a short drive away. Wooler is withinRead more walking distance and the small supermarket across the road was handy. The ice cream shop next door is to be recommended. Hide

12 of us came to Honeypot for birthday celebrations. The cottage is absolutely immaculate with plenty of space. All the en suites bedrooms are excellent. We were lucky with the weather so were able to take advantage of the rather impressive garden. The customer service from Coquet cottages was also first class. We had a wonderful stay.

We were 6 couples who live in different parts of the country (& Germany!) who all worked abroad together 40+ years ago; we have a holiday get together each year in many different locations. Everyone agreed Honeypot House provided the best accommodation weve ever had. The house is so spacious with large rooms where we could all sit together and chatRead more or eat yet still plenty of areas where you could find a quiet space. The garden is wonderful to wander in, sit in or play in and theres plenty of space to park 6 cars at the front. The house was well equipped, especially in the kitchen and the toiletries in the bathrooms were good quality and had a lovely scent. The bedding was high quality as were the beds which were comfortable. The only complaint came from the 2 couples who slept in the double beds on the top floor which werent big enough as we are all used to sleeping in king or super king size beds so when they are being renewed please get bigger beds or even twin beds.
