Perched on the edge of the Northumberland coast, just 1.5 miles from the sea, this charming holiday home offers a restful base for families and friends eager to explore this magnificent national landscape. Set 1 mile from Newton-by-the-Sea, with its beautiful beach and seafront pub at St Mary’s Haven (1.5 miles), the property places you right on the doorstep of adventure. From here, step onto the Northumberland Coast Path, where miles of easy-to-follow routes are ready to be explored on foot. Wander south to Embleton Bay (3 miles), passing the popular seafront golf course along the way, and soak up sandy shores with Dunstanburgh Castle (5 miles) as a dramatic backdrop. Head north instead to discover Beadnell (4 miles), Seahouses (6 miles) and Bamburgh (8 miles) – each with its own character, yet all united by golden beaches and unforgettable scenery.

Tucked within a cluster of country cottages and surrounded by open countryside, this cosy home-from-home invites you to relax in its sociable open-plan living space. A lounge/kitchen/diner forms the heart of the ground floor, flowing seamlessly into a sunroom extension with plenty of comfy seating – perfect for lazy mornings or restful evenings. The kitchen is well equipped for every mealtime, with a dining table set conveniently close by. For a snug alternative, the lounge offers soft seating, a Smart TV and a wood burner-effect gas fire that brings a warming glow when it’s cold outside. A utility room and a handy downstairs bathroom add further practicality. The first of three bedrooms – a versatile twin with a zip-and-link bed and Smart TV – is also located on this floor. Upstairs, two further bedrooms enjoy wonderful countryside views: a king-size with an en-suite bathroom, and a twin that makes use of the family bathroom.

Low Tide is a lovely, well maintained and beautiful cottage. Spacious property with plenty of living space for the 6 it accommodates. Loved the well packed welcome hamper. Perfect for visiting the coast and castles in the area. Had a fabulous meal in the Joiners Arms 5 mins drive away. Hosts were prompt with responding to any messages/questions.

We visited Low Tide with our daughter and our two grandsons aged 3 and 9. the haouse beautiful and spacious and everything had been thought of. Te fully enclosed garden was much appreciated for safety and the whole place was ideal. We spent many happy hours on the nearby gorgeous and quiet beaches which was perfect for the boys. The welcome hamper set the tone for high quality in everything. We especially appreciated the sunroom with access to the delightful patio. The location was very peaceful,and views were amazing.Comfortable beds and tasteful furnishings added to the enjoyment of the holiday.
