An impressive, modern escape, this luxury Northumberland holiday home is simply ideal for those looking for more than a little luxury. Sleeping six guests, the outstanding, three-bedroom retreat sits on the edge of the lovely village of Red Row, 4 miles from Amble and 13 miles from Alnwick. From here, it is just a 1.5-mile walk across the verdant countryside to the 7-mile-long sandy beach at Druridge Bay, which is backed by grassy dunes. Venture the same distance to spend time at beautiful Druridge Bay Country Park too, with its scenic woodland and picturesque 100-acre Ladyburn Lake, where you can go sailing, canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding and windsurfing. Head into Amble to wander the independent shops, dine out and spend time at the Harbour Village, with its spectrum of outlets. From here, you can also book cruises out to Coquet Island, home to thousands of puffins and other seabirds.
Head into this striking abode at the lower-ground-floor level to find yourselves in a useful boot room and laundry space. Leave muddy boots, hang coats and find you also have a very handy family shower room with a rainfall shower where you can rinse off the sand after days on the beach. Climb the carpeted stairs up to the first floor to emerge in your magnificent, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Very much the social hub of this holiday home, this stunning, vaulted space has a bank of windows with sliding glass doors, framing the incredible views. Pull the doors back to the large balcony to create seamless indoor/outdoor living. Settle on the deep sofa to absorb the amazing scenery at your leisure or watch the Smart TV. Head over to the sleek kitchen area to prepare drinks, snacks and full meals for your hungry holiday party. Choose whether to dine together at the table inside or out. Two of your bedrooms are also here, a king-size and a zip-and-link super-king-size with an en-suite shower room. There is a door between these two stylish bedrooms, making the arrangement ideal for a family. The final bedroom, a double, is up narrow, steep stairs on the mezzanine level and features an extra seating area. There is a sloping ceiling, giving it some restricted head height. All the bedrooms have Smart TVs, so you can enjoy long, lazy mornings in bed.
Step out onto the stone-covered balcony, with its glass balustrades, to take in the views from a sun lounger or comfortable seating. Watch the horses in the nearby paddock. Fire up the hot tub and relax in its bubbling warmth. Cook out on the BBQ here or in a second outdoor dining space at a lower level. Guests have parking for three cars in a shared area.
