The one-bedroom property makes a great base for both couples and solo travellers looking to explore the breathtaking Northumberland coast. Bamburgh is a picturesque village with quaint cafes, seafood restaurants, boutiques, and gift shops, as well as a 1,400-year-old castle perched high on the cliff overlooking the beach. Heading further along the coast, you’ll soon reach the colourful fishing village of Seahouses (4 miles), known for its delicious fish and chip shops. Here you can also hop aboard a boat to take a tour around the Farne Islands. Alternatively, enjoy a day trip to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, 16 miles away, or head 15 miles inland to explore the wild and remote walking trails through Northumberland National Park.
The single-storey holiday retreat is decorated in calming tones and boasts beautiful oak beams and a collection of chic accessories. Enter the cottage into the hallway, where you’ll find a handy utility room and space to store outdoor attire. From here, move through to the bright and airy lounge/kitchen/diner which has elegant, wooden floors and an impressive vaulted ceiling. Relax in here on the sumptuous sofa, watching a film on the Smart TV or reading a book by the flame-effect electric fire. In one corner you’ll find a sleek, well-appointed kitchen area, with a cute dining table for sharing dinners for two. When it’s time for bed, retire to the elegant king-size bedroom, where you’ll find ample storage, plush linens, and blackout blinds for a good night’s sleep. The contemporary bathroom can be accessed from both the bedroom and the hallway.
Outside, there is a sheltered, enclosed courtyard garden/driveway at the front of the property with a table and chairs for you to sit out with a glass of wine on a summer’s evening. Private parking for one car is available on the driveway.
