With an enviable location directly opposite Warkworth Castle, this characterful stone cottage offers a delightful couple’s hideaway on the Northumberland Heritage Coast. With village amenities all around and beach rambles just a mile away, it offers a practical location with picture-perfect views. To the south, the waterfront town of Amble (1.5 miles) tempts with seafood shacks and pastel-painted beach huts. Head north to immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter at Alnwick Castle, dine in a treetop restaurant and discover an intriguing poison garden inside Alnwick Gardens.

Inside, this atmospheric property has been thoughtfully equipped for easy self-catering while respecting its original charm and character. A small porch welcomes you inside and leads to a homely lounge where a beamed ceiling and open fire in an ornate fireplace blend with period furniture for a homely vibe. The window frames views of Warkworth Castle, and there’s a table for two in the corner for romantic dinners. A door leads into a practical kitchen with all the necessary appliances, and a small hall leading to the bathroom with a rainfall shower, bath, and luxury toiletries. When night falls, return to the entrance hall to find a door leading to a boutique-style bedroom with a king-size bed adorned in plush bedding and a window overlooking the castle.

While there’s no dedicated outdoor space with this property, a convenient bench by the front door invites you to sip a morning cuppa in the shadow of the castle. Parking is on-street and subject to availability, with additional free parking within 50 metres.

A perfectly sized and well positioned spot for our family of six adults. Beautifully appointed with luxuriant bedding and good quality natural carpets. Superb walks/runs along the beach and river with plenty of fauna and flora to take in. The castle views from the windows are magnificent and awe inspiring.

Tower house was perfect for us - so comfortable, cosy yet spacious. Next to a busy corner in the high street but no noise.

We enjoyed our stay at the property. It was nicely furnished. Nice decor and very comfortable furniture. Bedrooms very comfortable and bright and airy. Bathrooms had everything you needed. Showers excellent. Kitchen had all you need. Excellent dining room. We were very disappointed that we could not use the outside seating because the bench and theRead more floor around it were covered in bird droppings. The outside of the kitchen windows had not been cleaned for some time - (dust and cobwebs) which was not a good look as you enter a property so it was a pleasant surprise to see that the interior was well looked after. Disappointment with the outside space means that we would not stay at Tower House again. Hide

Everything you need for your stay is there at Tower House. Location is great, even though it's on the corner and traffic passes by it wasn't at all noticeable. Definitely would stay again and the team at Coquet Cottages were fabulous

The welcome pack was truly wonderful and everything about Tower House just followed on to the same standard. Tower House is very well placed within the village and Warkworth itself makes a great base to visit the surrounding area.
