Located in a peaceful spot in the quintessential village of Warkworth, this quaint property was built in 1905 and retains many nods to its history. Set overlooking the River Coquet and boasting views of Warkworth Castle, this is a serene spot for groups of six. Within 500 metres you will find several pubs and restaurants within the village, and access to the river where you can take some nice walks. Head to Warkworth Beach (1 mile) which has a beautiful stretch of sandy shoreline and some rockpools to explore. You can also walk along the river to the picturesque fishing port of Amble (1.5 miles) and hop on a boat trip to see the puffins and seals. Visit magical Alnwick (7.5 miles) where the castle was used as the Hogwarts filming location in the Harry Potter films.

The small hallway is accessed via the back door where you can find a WC and access to the kitchen/diner and the lounge. The open-plan kitchen/diner is super light and airy with everything you need to create culinary delights for all guests to refuel after busy days exploring. Once you are full up, curl up in the lounge which has a gas fire and plenty of seating options. An armchair sits in a bay window and overlooks the river. A useful utility area with laundry facilities is also situated on the ground floor. Upstairs on the first floor are the three bedrooms and the family bathroom. Choose from two king-sizes and a twin bedroom which all have lovely views and bright, airy tones. The family bathroom completes the interior and contains a bath and a separate shower.

This property boasts a lovely suntrap patio garden which wraps around the house and has plenty of seating for you all to enjoy dining alfresco and planning the days ahead. Driveway parking for one car is available, and there is space for more cars on the roadside.

Having had several vacations in Northumberland including two previously in Warkworth I can say that Victoria Cottage is probably the best rental property of them all. Great location next to the river and easy walk to all the village amenities and a good base for exploring the area. The house itself was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortableRead more. Would definitely choose again. Hide

Great location with views over river and only 5 minutes walk to village centre. Excellent little shop and Post Office. Good welcome pack, milk, butter, bread etc. Very good for dog owners with dog towels provided.
