With its charming village location and proximity to Bamburgh’s castle and beach, this three-storey holiday home is ideal for groups of up to eight looking to experience Northumberland’s main attractions. With a sweeping sandy beach, an imposing castle, and a selection of shops and eateries within 0.5 miles, a stay here is steeped in history and charm. Head out for coastal walks to Budle Bay (2 miles) or venture to Seahouses Harbour (3.5 miles) for boat trips to the wildlife-rich Farne Islands. History lovers will find trips over the tidal causeway to Lindisfarne (16.5 miles) and to the world-famous Alnwick Castle (16 miles) unmissable.

Arranged over three storeys, this mid-terrace cottage has an abundance of charm. Hang up coats and take off shoes in the spacious entrance hall before heading through to the spacious living area, which features a pair of L-shaped sofas and a Smart TV right by the glow of a fire. The open-plan kitchen/diner exudes coastal charm with navy and grey cabinets, while a host of handy appliances including a Nespresso coffee machine. The dining area comfortably seats the entire group, while doors leading to the rear courtyard can be opened for indoor-outdoor living. Four beautifully appointed bedrooms are spread over the first and second floors, with two versatile zip-and-link bedrooms on the first floor and two king-size bedrooms on the second floor, all with en-suites for the utmost in privacy and comfort.

A private, enclosed courtyard to the rear of the property offers space to unwind in the salty sea air with comfortable outdoor seating and convenient storage for bikes and beach gear. Free parking is available throughout the village.

A lovely, well equipped property perfect for a family. Parking can be a challenge and the front door opens straight onto the street which you have to be very aware of for children and a dog

We had a wonderful stay at Shearwater, lovely modern property in great condition. The location is perfect with all local amenities plus beach and castle in easy walking distance. Welcome pack including fresh milk in the fridge on arrival is a nice touch as was the dog bowl with treats and poo bags!

Beautiful cottage, immaculate and quality furnishings. Plenty seating in lounge and kitchen for large family and kitchen well stocked with equipment for cooking. All bedrooms en-suite with very comfortable beds, lovely linen and towels. We were also provided with a lovely welcome hamper.
