Set on the top floor of an apartment block, this spacious and bright apartment welcomes eight guests in four en-suite bedrooms. From the door of the apartment block, you will be right on the promenade of Amble Marina. Take a short stroll where you can find restaurants that serve up the finest fish and seafood, along with several cafes and some independent gift shops (500 metres). Head to Amble Beach (400 metres) which is tucked behind the harbour and find rockpools that are home to an abundance of wildlife. Further explore nature by hopping on a boat to Coquet Island and visit the seabirds which reside there, including puffins. History lovers can enjoy the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle (13 miles) or the iconic Alnwick Castle (9 miles) and its beautiful gardens.

You can access the apartment, which is situated on the top floor, via stairs or the lift. Upon entering, you will be immediately greeted by a bright and airy hallway where you can shake off your shoes and coats. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner boasts lovely views over the harbour from the floor-to-ceiling windows. To one end is the kitchen, which has everything you need for rustling up tasty meals. Guests can sit at the breakfast bar to socialise with the chefs before you eat together around the dining table which comfortably seats eight. Once your stomachs are full, curl up on the comfortable sofas in the lounge area and flick on the Smart TV. The children of the group, or the competitive adults, might enjoy a game on the PlayStation in the games room. You will also find a handy WC and a utility room on the lower floor. The first of the four bedrooms is a twin, and has a Smart TV, lovely views of the boatyard, and an en-suite bathroom. Climb up the oak staircase to the upper floor and the other three bedrooms, two spacious super-king sizes and a king-size, all with their own TVs and en-suite shower rooms.

There are two balconies here, one from the lounge and one from the master bedrooms which both have seating and breathtaking, panoramic views. Private parking is available for two cars.

The Penthouse is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. We are a group of eight friends, who have holidayed together several times, and this was far and away the best place we have stayed. The apartment has plenty of space for everyone, the bedrooms and bathrooms are all top quality, and the views are magnificent. We all loved it!

Walk into this apartment and prepare to be blown away by the jaw dropping views of Amble Harbour from floor to ceiling windows. The decor is delightful, fittings first class, beds comfy and the attention to detail is second to none. A group of 5 adults and 3 children over 3 generations and we all loved it. So relaxing and so much space

We spent a wonderful week at The Penthouse. Beautifully presented and appointed The Penthouse has a fantastic location over looking Amble Marina and harbour. This was a second visit to The Penthouse and we enjoyed ourselves just as much as the first visit. The apartment has everything you need to relax and enjoy yourselves. We always enjoy our stays in this apartment. The position of the apartment on the marina is just stunning, you can spend hours watching the tide go in and out, watch boats come and go, and the birds flying around the water. The apartment is incredibly comfortable and the kitchen has everything that you need. The accommodation is spacious and the baRead morethrooms are all very well appointed. The shared spaces are always very clean and well maintained. The apartment is ideally placed not just for a break in Amble but to explore the whole coastline. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful property with great views over Amble. Everything possible was provided. Very comfortable, with great accessibility. One of our party was waiting for a hip replacement, but the lift and good access made it a good choice . Very handy for shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend the Fish Shack.
