You’ll find a great selection of independent shops and cafes in the cobbled market town of Alnwick, which is also home to the iconic Alnwick Castle, half a mile away – it’s been the popular filming location for Harry Potter and Downton Abbey, complete with magnificent medieval architecture and gorgeous Italianate state rooms. Hulne Park, which wraps around Alnwick Castle, has some great walking routes to follow. Reaching the coast is very accessible too, with the arty village of Alnmouth and its 7-mile stretch of golden sandy beach just 5.5 miles from the doorstep. The rolling hills, riverbanks, and waterfalls of the Ingram Valley can be reached within 15 miles.

Through the front door, you’re welcomed into a spacious entrance hallway that features beautiful herringbone-style flooring and plenty of room to hang coats and store boots. Lead the way through into the cosy lounge, which combines beautiful rustic features with contemporary elegance, boasting stunning décor, plantation shutters, gorgeous period features and a roaring open fire. Featuring bespoke wooden cabinets, the sleek and stylish adjoining open-plan kitchen/diner is a haven for budding cooks, equipped with everything required to rustle up perfect picnics and delicious dinners. Looking out through a set of French doors to the garden, the dining table is perfectly placed to make the most of outdoor/indoor living during the warmer months. Enjoying a lovely outlook onto St. Paul’s Church, the master king-size bedroom and single bedroom upstairs offer a haven of tranquillity to retire to. You’ll also find another cosy king-size bedroom and a beautiful family bathroom brimming with contemporary sophistication on the first floor.

Outside, the enclosed rear garden, laid with artificial grass, is the perfect spot to sit back and relax at the end of a busy day. The hot tub and outdoor sauna provide the ultimate, soothing antidote to weary walking muscles. St Pauls view is a lovely clean and comfortable holiday cottage, well equipped and very convenient for the local town and attractions in the surrounding county. The hot tub was an extra benefit much appreciated. Situated in a pleasant area of Alnwick I would highly recommend this cottage

What a fantastic stay, thank you so much. It was so comfortable and easy with our two boys. And everything close by. We didnt manage to get to half the things we intended to. We would stay at St Pauls again in a heartbeat!

No mattress protector on the single bed. Main bed not the comfiest. Stains noted to duvet and topper, once stripped for the wash bag.

Had the pleasure of staying here for a week. Superbly finished, comfortable with everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay. Rear parking a bit tight for our large 4x4 but once worked out usable if no parking opposite available.
