A very tired house and outdoor space. Cleanliness and fittings nowhere near the standard normally seen. We have used Coquet a number of times and always been impressed with the high standard of accommodation and facilities. Sadly this was not the case at Strathmore. Cleanliness was an issue throughout the house. The garden was not great for our twoRead more little ones and the hot tub did not function properly either. The summer house and some outdoor furniture were not usable and all in all a very disappointing stay in our favourite place in the uk. One of the cots for the babies was also in need of a clean which is not a great start either. Hide

Spacious accommodation with everything you might need included. Clean and welcoming and a lovely secure garden for dogs. The hot tub was ideal for a quick relaxation after enjoying the local area. Good location for Wooler centre and fir getting g out & about. Welcome hamper for all much appreciated, especially homemade cake.

We had a great few days with all my family celebrating my 60th birthday. Some nice touches, hot tub towels and flip flops were a great idea. Bedrooms extremely comfortable and kitchen had everything you could wish for. A couple of small criticisms: The BBQ wasn't great and there was only a half bag of coals. House details said there would be a fullRead more bag of coals in the summerhouse but there wasn't. The outdoor benches, swings and hammock were all covered in bird poo and green moss. Not very hygienic when there are young children running about. The guide referred to complimentary toiletries. There were some but the ones in the downstairs shower room were half used and the lids were off. Hide

Great location for a weekend away with family & friends. Walks on doorstep as well as a short drive too Bamburgh to enjoy the glorious beach. Well equipped kitchen with plenty enough plates, cups glasses etc.... Hot tub was a great addition but it was slightly tired, with a head/neck pad missing and others that kept floating off whilst the hot tub Read morewas on. Summer house wasn't tidy which meant in the spring sun we weren't able to sit out and enjoy the garden. Hide
