Just had a week at Tern Cottage. Really lovely, well equipped and beautifully decorated and furnished. The kitchen diner is a great light space to chill and play games. Utility room and side door was brilliant if you have dogs to keep them away from carpeted areas. Beds and bedding really comfortable, toiletries smelt lovely. Lots of touches. GreaRead moret location too for beaches and walks and pubs. Highly recommend. Hide

I would recommend this property. The village is ideally located for the beach and for travel to lovely towns. The property is comfortable and clean. Ideal for a family and our dogs were made to feel very welcome.

We just returned from a very warm July week at Tern Cottage. We benefitted from this being a relatively new rental with super comfy new mattresses, stylish velvet sofas and a lovely tiled floor in the large rear kitchen/dining/dayroom area. The kitchen was well equipped although I wouldn't like to cook for 8 with only a slimline dishwasher. Great Read morenew oven with rapid heating and airfry mode and a good big fridge. The welcome pack was appreciated. Although you know it's covered in the overall pricing, it still takes effort and enables you to arrive and settle in with a cuppa or cold drink. Having rented a house in May with no comfortable outdoor furniture, we really appreciated the comfortable table and chairs with a big parasol. We didn't use the gas BBQ as it appeared checking this was clean enough might not have been in the cleaner's remit. The big rear garden was amazing for a sunny week and our dog loved that it was long enough to chase a ball. This also makes it perfect for families. This was our first time staying in Embleton and we loved it - a well-stocked village shop, hotel/bar with great beer garden and a smaller locals pub which came highly recommended for food too. Plenty for one week without having to stray too far. Hide
