Definitely the perfect place to stay for a relaxing break. The cottage has the most amazing view of the castle and coastline from the main bedroom and a beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and equipped house. Everything is there that you need and the owners have obviously put a lot of thought into the details. The only very small criticism we wRead moreould make would be to make the rubbish situation clearer. The instructions say bag the rubbish and put in the outside bins. But the recycling bin does not take plastic bags so the bin was not emptied on bin day. Clearer instructions would resolve the issue. Other than this it is definitely the perfect pad for exploring the Northumberland coast and we would definitely stay here again. Hide

The Arch is just lovely, really nicely set up for a weekend stay. The quality of everything is superb, from the welcome hamper to the decor to the crockery and everything you need. The parking works perfectly under the arch. Nice having an outside space (not that we used it as it was a very chilly early February stay). The kitchen is well equipped Read morewith everything you need and it's all good quality and new. Many cottages are equipped with someone's old crockery and bits and pieces, not this one, all feels and looks relatively new. We were greeted with the most wonderful hamper for us and the our dog, some lovely treats. The cottage was warm when we arrived and we lit a fire which was a lovely thing to be able to do with the starter pack of wood etc. Location is fab, a stones throw from the Bistro/Pub The Jolly Fisherman and there are some nice coastal walks from the cottage too. Definitely would stay there again. Hide
