Take an early morning dip, then spend the afternoon warming up in one of Warkworth's cosy, welcoming pubs. For history enthusiasts, the cross-shaped keep of Warkworth Castle (1 mile) is a must-visit, while the nearby Golf Club (0.5 miles) offers 9 holes of scenic play. Follow the Coquet Estuary and it'll bring you out to Amble (2.5 miles). This quaint fishing port is picture-perfect, with a beach-hut lined waterfront, boutique ice cream makers, and streets crammed with coffee shops, restaurants and bakers. The lounge is on the first floor, and makes the most of the dune and ocean views with matching earthy, relaxing hues. Settle in for a family night in front of the TV, or simply soak in the vistas with a drink in hand. Three bedrooms are available when you drop tired. The ground floor houses a king-size bedroom with a Smart TV and a modern bathroom, while the other two bedrooms, a twin and a double, sit on the first floor and both boast en-suite shower rooms.

We had a wonderful week staying at The Dunes. The house has very thoughtfully designed to make it comfortable for three generations to stay here. Really good quality fitting throughout. It is ideally placed for all the areas of Northumberland we love. Warkworth beach is beautiful and try to go and watch the sunrise there.

We had a fabulous three day break. The Dunes had everything we needed. The views are lovely . Very spacious but still had a cosy feel . The beach is amazing just what you would expect for the Northumberland coast . After a day out exploring it was great to come back and relax in the garden . We were very lucky the weather was sunny and warm and we Read morecould sit out until early evening in the sun.. Sunday lunch we spent in The Warkworth Hotel. It was excellent. Good food and service. The Dunes is a wonderful house thats incredibly well equipped and in a super location. We had everything we needed (including an EV charger!) and more in the house and loved that we had pubs and restaurants and the beach in walking distance.

What a fantastic house. Beautiful location, perfect garden overlooking the sea. The entire house is finished and maintained to an extremely high standard. Lovely welcome basket and flower on arrival is a nice touch and appreciated. Amazing dark skies in the evening - very little light pollution. Stunning wildlife - deer walking calmly in the adjaceRead morent field and barn owls flying early evening is a must sea. We will definitely be back at the earliest opportunity. Hide

The Dunes is a beautiful home set outside of the town of Warkworth. The home is beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. There's not much to do in Warkworth itself so trips to Amble and Alnwick are a frequent choice. The walk to Warkworth is partially down a non-paved road and a somewhat steep paved section leaRead moreding to the bridge into Warkworth itself. There are other rental properties on the property but we didn't see any of the other residents and there's a small caravan site next door. Due to them allowing dogs to stay the landscaping is already starting to suffer but otherwise the garden is a lovely place to sit. Hide
