Most ‘Instagrammable’ Moments in Northumberland

With Instagram having 800 million active users a month, we know how much you all love to see our #coquetcottages moments!

Northumberland is an absolutely beautiful county, and we are lucky enough to have snapped some of the stunning locations, that are ‘instagrammable’.

Here are some of our top places to get the best shots:

Linhope Spout

Going on holiday is all about getting out and about. Plan a day trip to the Northumberland National Park and be sure to see Linhope Spout. This ‘wild and wonderful’ waterfall is beautiful all year round. You can walk along the burn to see the bottomless plunge pot.
Don’t forget to pack a picnic to enjoy, and keep an eye out as there has been sightings of rare red squirrels!

Sycamore Gap

Get your walking boots on and discover Sycamore Gap. This famous sight is along Hadrians wall and is a great walk from Housesteads. The Sycamore Gap tree is one of the most photographed trees in the country, therefore we know it will make a great Instagram snap!

Anywhere in Bamburgh

If you are already planning your trip, we know Bamburgh will be on your to-do list. This stunning village is full of perfect photo opportunities. From the breath-taking castle, to the miles of beaches, we know you will love instagramming your memories.

Amble Pier

Amble is a stunning part of the world. From the cutesy pods in the harbour to the walks along the pier. There are plenty of local shops and places to eat, not to mention quite possibly the best fish & chips!

A big thank you to @pauseoutdoors for the breath-taking image of Sycamore Gap, @darkviews for the stunning snap of Bamburgh Castle & @ttarpd for the wonderful shot of Linhope Spout.
