Tips from a local
Have a BBQ on Bamburgh beach
Pick up some local Bamburgh Banger sausages from Carter’s butcher on the main street of Bamburgh and have a BBQ either on the beach or in the garden. The Pantry is the tinniest local deli just down from the butchers that sells homemade pate, cheeses, bread etc. so you can pick up a few tasty treats from there too.
Tips from a local
Have the day in Berwick and catch a train
The main border town of Berwick is less than half an hour away in the car, and is a really interesting historical town to visit. Thy have a major train station there that’s on the East Coast main line, so you can hope up to Edinburgh in just 30 minutes.
